Five good things

Chips in the sun

 Don't forget the vinegar

Fresh yummy carrots from the garden.
(Roasted gently in the oven, they went very nicely with our potatoes.)

Hound tor afternoon (inspiration for Conan Doyle's Hound of the Baskervilles).

A picnic on the edge.

A perfect rainbow in our garden

Sent to my Poppet to chase his blues away.

  1. What cool pictures!

    1. Fantastic run tonight despite it being hot and ridiculously humid—I felt like I could have kept going, but it was getting dark!

    2. Double chocolate zucchini brownies (forgot how good they are)

    3. Wine tasting with neighbors last Monday (who knew I'd like a rosé)

    4. Listening to music I used to love that I haven't listened to in years

    5. First peaches of the season, so juicy and good (and worth the fruit flies that inevitably invade the kitchen)

  2. First of all, Belated Happy Birthday....the pictures in that post are amazing. And the potatoes from your garden look great....and wait there are carrots too!

I hope your thumb is better?

    Good things:

    - a tryst I had with a little boy in the neighbourhood.

    - being able to read through blogs again.

    - finding a poem my ma had scribbled in a book (in 1976)
