A Christmas dream

In his Grandmother's garden,
he is digging up the bones of his father,
a door opens and someone is holding George the little boy.

This is what you might have had.
This is what you have missed out on.

Not the nicest of dreams for a bereaved father, son, grandson to wake from at Christmas.

He hides his grief a little too well sometimes.

  1. Ohh, Ray. So unfair, so cruel. I am surprised, too, sometimes, when and how these things bubble up for Alan. Wishing you comfort and peace in each other.

  4. Dreams carry powerful messages....they show to us, what we may not want to obviously see, or what is in our subconscious.

I am so sorry for Ray. That kind of a dream sends a shiver down the spine...not what one would like to see at any time of the year.

    So sad.

    Hugs, you two.

  5. Oh my. Thoughts and prayers with you both. I'm glad, at least, that he was able to share it with you. ((Hugs))

  6. It's not fair! That dream is not fair. Give that wonderful man of yours a huge hug from all of us. So brave of him to share this dream and remind us they hurt too.
Sending massive amounts of love to both of you!
    xoxo,
    Marian

  7. I'm so sorry for your sweet Ray. Dreams can be cruel, cruel things. When they show us what we might have had.
