Indian cooking is big on tumeric. We use it in all our daals and veggies. I do not think it harms pregnant women. In fact when pregnant women have a sore throat, grannies give them hot milk with tumeric instead of medicine. I drank it when I was pregnant with Akul...ofcourse the fact that I lost my baby does ot vouch for anything I did. Your meal sounds interesting.
